COUNTRY Club’s much loved swim school is re-opening its doors.

Luke Anderson, a former Coffs Coast local who has been training and teaching as a swim instructor and coach in Sydney for the past few years, has returned to his roots to re-open the local swim centre as the Woolgoolga Swim School.

His interest in teaching and coaching swimming was sparked while undertaking training to be a physical education teacher in 2001.

“My family is here and I wanted a bit of a lifestyle change,” Luke said.

“My grandmother is in Grafton and I grew up in Toormina so this was perfect.”

Luke has spent the past six years in Sydney teaching and coaching swimming to people of all ages and levels of capability.

Woolgoolga Swim School will be providing swim classes for babies, infants, school-aged children, children needing stroke development, adults, as well as a range of squads.

The swim school at 209 Newmans Rd is open now for swim assessments for infants and school-aged children and enrolments.
